With The Celestial Toymaker arriving in TV Club, it seems a good time to discuss the Toymaker’s various appearances across the Whoniverse.
What are your favourite stories featuring the character?
Do you prefer the Toymaker to be part of the Guardians as suggested in Divided Loyalties or the Pantheon as established in The Legend of Ruby Sunday - or are they one and the same?

My experience of the Toymaker comes primarily from The Giggle, in which he is, basically, an epic character. I’m not entirely sure what his original version is like, but the NPH version is great!
Also, inThe Giggle novelisation, the story being told by the Toymaker is a really cool twist on things.
Well, Michael Gough as the Toymaker in The Celestial Toymaker is fine I guess, but I prefer the playful, sinister NPH version.
One of my favourite Toymaker stories is the comic strip Endgame. I highly recommend people seek it out. It’s also the debut of Izzy in the comic strips.
