'The Timewyrm Arc' REVIEWED!

I previously reviewed the first thirteen of the ‘New Adventures’ on TimeScales, so I’m currently in the process of transferring them over here. Once that’s done, I’ll have migrated all of my book reviews here (hooray!)

The first four reviews - covering the books comprising the Timewyrm Arc - are now available to read here on TARDIS Guide.

A dreadful trip to Messopotamia; Terrance Dicks tackles the Wolfenstein Paradox; a book with all the artistic value of TV static; and a really trippy finale to the arc.

‘Genesys’

‘Exodus’

‘Apocalypse’

‘Revelation’

Once we have finished Revelation I’ll definitely swing by and read all these.

My complaint so far, having read the first 3, is that there’s barely an “arc” at all, the 2nd and 3rd seem like stories written without the Timewyrm in mind but added in later.

I remember reading an interview years ago with Terrance Dicks and Nigel Robinson, who basically confirmed that themselves, Peel and Cornell had very little communication when writing the books, hence why they feel somewhat unconnected.
