So this is a compilation of everything that was posted on this old BBC Torchwood site (and from the looks of things) was then taken down. I’d like to be wrong and find out that they were published somewhere else, in a kind of book maybe, but I haven’t come across anything like that.
So I thought I’d share the link for anyone interested. It’s an in-universe log that followed the episodes (from season 1-2) and adds additional context, emails, transcripts, images, documents, and moments for the characters to interact. Some of it does contradict Big Finish (as is the beauty of the Whoniverse), but it honestly looked really fun and interesting. The main highlight was the Captain’s Blog segments, which were just Jack Harkness’ thoughts on what had happened during the episodes.
Just thought I’d share here because it’s one step away from having been even more lost Torchwood media. And from a quick forum research, I haven’t seen anyone bring it up anywhere.
I’ll delete this post if it turns out this was all compiled in a big lovely book that I can buy somewhere lol.
Edit: seems the old videos are genuinely lost media though.
Another link to the same material, haven’t gone through it, and they’ve categorized it a bit differently, but again, posting here in case there’s more content.
Christmas Invasion is Christmas 2006, Army of Ghosts/Doomsday is after that (going by other things in the timeline it’s March 2007), so how is this from 2006?!
I mean it seems the people making the site just forgot that stories weren’t taking place the year they aired, but for making a timeline around this, it’s really frustrating
Broken also places Cyberwoman–> They Keep Killing Suzie around about a week of time.
But this also says that the gap between Cyberwoman and Small Words are 4 weeks apart. And Jack and Ianto get together through Jack visiting him during check ups during a month long suspension. Whereas in Broken, Ianto doesn’t get a suspension.
Yeah it’s one line in that, I just take it to be Gwen misremembering the exact age (It also implies it’s 2011 at earliest, I thought you were talking about House of the dead which is explicitly 2010 and has Ianto on the cover)
Torchwood timelines are just messy anyway. There’s literally no room for the Lincolnshire Poacher audio either, but there is according to the the Big Finish Overlords.
4 months. Greg says Ianto has been in his boiler room for 4 months
Or it’s 10 minutes depending on your perspective. But I think it’s only 10 minutes in the “dream” part of the Moil. And 4 months in the actual physical place situated on the “Tear”.
Countrycide spoilers: from first glance I think this transcript is missing under the Countrycide part, it could be elsewhere though and I’ve just forgotten. I still think it’s pretty funny, if a bit out of character for Toshiko
