I was never actually that keen on TDW, and knowing what we know now…

Yeah, my vote goes to Flesh and Stone

I went with the astronauts and TDW today.

Yeah, something is extra :eyes: about stuff like “I like biting. It’s like kissing, only there’s a winner” knowing what we know now.

I really enjoy The Crimson Horror and think it’s immensely underrated but alas I adore The Impossible Astronaut & Day of the Moon, so I must choose the two parter. And then I’m always a Weeping Angels fan, so my second choice was obvious.

I do like The Crimson Horror but Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon are a really good fun pair of episodes so I’ve gotta to give it to them

the next one is a harder choice but I think I personally rate Doctor’s Wife slightly lower than most so its the angel two parter

The Crimson Horror has succumbed to the repulsive red leech after The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon cut off its supply of sugar. 31-8

The Doctor’s Wife said hello and died. The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone wins 20-18

As I said, closer than I’d have put them myself.

I am not too big on the Series 5 finale I must admit  while I can see why one would prefer it over Cold War, I don’t know, I find Cold War to be an entertaining Episode and a solid introduction for the Ice Warriors into the Revival. Also, it has David Warner, that surely has to count for something!
The second one is an easy one, Town is probably the best Western Story of the onscreen Series, it’s the Highlight of 7A. Vampires is fine, but doesn’t leave much of an impression for me.

I do like ‘Vampires,’ but I must agree that 'Mercy is better. As for the other match…why are you making me choose? Ahhh! Okay, as good as ‘Cold War’ is, I think the S5 finale might be the best one of the revival, or at least top three, so that gets my vote.

The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang is probably my favourite season finale of new Who.

Oh that second match is surprising me. I think Mercy is much better than Venice

Pandorica is great.

I enjoy Mercy and Vampires fairly equally, but Vampires is more fun so that gets my vote.

I’m not sure what anyone would dislike about it

I don’t remember Mercy at all, and I’ve seen Venice at least 3 times. I think its fun!

Boringggggg… It’s always been one that’s never worked for me

It’s got good dark 11 stuff with his willingness to sacrifice Kahler Jex in that time he’s struggling with accepting that Amy and Rory are starting to move on, all the stuff about “you don’t get to decide how your debt is paid,” moral discussion kinds of things, fun Western setting and playing on the Western tropes. The accents are a bit iffy, but that’s just all the time they have Brits playing Americans, no better or worse than other times. Venice I think isn’t bad, but I don’t think has anything on A Town Called Mercy.

We also get 11 name-checking the Master, for I think (?) the only time in his entire era, in Mercy.

I hate both so :sob:
