While I enjoy all four episodes, I have to give the nod pretty easily to ‘Carol’ in that second match, as I find it one of the best holiday specials. The first match was pretty close for me, but ‘Bells’ wins - I don’t even mind the WiFi stuff; it’s like the “reverse the polarity of the neutron flow” science stuff, which never really bothers me. Of course, I’m old enough to remember when people were mocked for thinking black holes may actually be a real thing, for whatever that’s worth.

Two easy picks for me - I’m a sucker for the Angels, Noir settings and stories with character drama, so Manhattan easily wins out over Bells in the first match. My controversial opinion about this one is that the Statue of Liberty Angel is actually cool and I like it as a moment in the episode (yes, it makes no sense, but it doesn’t affect the plot of the episode in any way - it’s just intended as a great visual, and it succeeds on that front). I do agree the explanation for why the Doctor can’t go back and pick up Amy and Rory is silly, but I can live with it as a means to the episode achieving the intended emotional beats.
For the second match, it isn’t even a contest. The Power of Three is a relatively solid slice-of-life story with a weak ending, but Christmas Carol absolutely mops the floor with it - a fantastically Doctor Who spin on a classic tale, that works brilliantly both as a piece of science fiction and as an uplifting story about the possibility that even the nastiest person can change. Definitely one of my favourites of the era, and probably among my favourite episodes of the show overall.

I enjoy The Angels Take Manhattan, so that got my vote. Although I love both The Power of Three and A Christmas Carol, the former has a subpar ending (if only Stephen Berkoff wasn’t cast), whereas A Christmas Carol is one of my all-time favorite episodes (and it has a good ending).

A Christmas Carol waved its sonic screwdriver ending The Power of Three in about 30 seconds, a bit too easy I think. 28-9.

Of the two Craig Owens episodes, Lodger is definitely the better one (or, the actually good one). But it’s no contest, Amy’s Choice is a significantly better episode.
The other one is a lot closer, I’m one who finds Wedding a bit underrated, but still not quite as good as Snowmen.

I adore The Wedding of River Song but it’s a bit of a mess, so I’m going with The Snowmen. And then I think The Lodger isn’t bad by any means by Amy’s Choice is definitely better for me.

The Wedding of River Song did not have the Teselecta to save it from The Snowmen’s assassination attempt. 27-10.
The Lodger didn’t have enough reason to stick around, so the time machine’s AI took it as its pilot, blowing it up in the process, Amy’s Choice walking away unscathed. 32(good number)-5

Although I have a soft spot for The Crimson Horror (I watched it on a loop when I was younger, and it was the start of my obsession with mystery and horror stories set in the Victorian era), The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon is the stronger story imo. I’ve always been indifferent towards The Doctor’s Wife, whereas I actively rewatch Time of the Angels/Flesh and Stone.

Missed the last one, but the ones I wanted to win have won 
The first Round is easy, the Astronaut Two-Parter is genuinely one of my favorite Openers of the Revival, honestly deserved to be talked about more often in my minds.
The second one was easy too, not a Fan of the Angel Two-Parter and while I am not fond of every Choice made in the Doctor’s wife, I still find it a very entertaining Episode with a very strong Guest Performance.

Well, now that you mention it, I searched through these threads and I’m not finding what gave me that impression. Just a couple of dislikes or vote againsts of popular episodes. Maybe it was just a few that stood out in my memory giving me a false impression.
