My cats never do that but periodically one of them will sit next to me and I know I’ve made it in life

Well, I’d still call that a win. Our second cat never sleeps on me even though I feed her every day, but she loves my wife

I see the cat has a tear on the tip of its ear. I’m glad it seems to be OK and trusts you.
Now I think of it…This one of the cats from my school building. There is a chance some students are awful to it…
I just hope that’s not the case
That type of tear is usually from another cat (or other animal with teeth and/or claws). Our two loving sister cats[1] fought more and more as they got into their late teens, and I would sometime see tears like that on their ears (and bite marks as well).

Update: She finally showed up after a long time! I was so worried about her I’m so glad she is fine
This is River, guardian of the internet router.
She is 2 years old, the shelter where she was had to move her into another one on the opposite side of the country because nobody wanted to adopt her. She has been with us for 7 months now. We still can’t pet her but she’s never very far from me and love watching me type on the computer

They went back into their house after I walked away I think the owner saw me cuddle it lol
