TARDIS32's Tough Quiz Questions - The Keys of Marinus

And we’re back with classic Who TTQQs. Some of these middle episodes took some effort to find good questions for. I think it’s because the serial is made of 5 mini stories, and some are very simple as a result. Without further ado:

11. When Ian was perhaps being a little overly protective of Barbara and Susan, like what does Barbara wish Ian wouldn’t treat them? Dresden china
12. How did Sabetha know the key Barbara found in the idol was a fake? One edge of it was a fraction shorter than the real one
13. How long does Barbara say she would have waited before using the travel dial if Ian didn’t arrive? Half an hour
14. He’s only named in the credits, but what is the name of the old man who helps Ian and Barbara get the key? Darrius

25. They have an unusual clock in Ian’s cell. What was the indication on this clock that corresponded with Ian’s scheduled execution? When the pointer pointed to the star
26. What was the name of Ayden’s wife who named Ian as her accomplice? Kala (the first female villain in Doctor Who)
27. Who was the third criminal, revealed when they set him up to retrieve the key? Prosecutor Eyesen
28. Which Greek philosopher and founder of skepticism does the Doctor namedrop? Pyrrho
29. What gave the Voord leader away when he pretended to be Arbitan? He didn’t know who Altos was, when he was someone Arbitan had sent in the first place
30. What wise limitation on machines does the Doctor explain at the end? Machines can make laws, but they cannot preserve justice.
Bonus 1. Aside from the 6th episode which has the same title as the serial, name the others for one point each. “The Sea of Death”, “The Velvet Web”, “The Screaming Jungle”, “The Snows of Terror”, “Sentence of Death”
Bonus 2. Where did we find each key, aside from the one Arbitan already had? A point for each. Sabetha had one on her person in Morphoton, one hidden in a chemical jar, one in a block of ice in the cave, and hidden inside the mace that killed Eprin.
