Hello! I was thinking it might be a fun idea to have an online advent calendar in the forum for everyone to enjoy! However, it would help me if I got a better sense of what people might want from the Advent Calendar. One of the requirements of my Advent Calendar is that the items involved would be free to access, so that we could all save ourselves some money.
The Advent Calendar idea is mostly inspired by the Doctor Who Adventure Calendars that were created for promotional purposes a few years ago. Adventure Calendar - Tardis Wiki
I would like to read the short stories from them, and I am wondering if other people might like to as well. However, it might be fun to have a few different types of items in the calendar. The calendar would hopefully start on December 1st, and look something like this:

Today’s item.
Help me brainstorm some ideas, and then I will add polls to solidify things a bit later.
The calendar has been live for almost a week! What have been your favorite parts so far? What would you like to see? Do you think there has been a good mix of activities, or do you think that I am moving too fast?
Well, it’s an advent calendar, the whole point of it is to feature new content every day until Christmas
I’ve been having a blast so far! I love to read the short stories I haven’t read previously or even heard about before, and the acitivitites have been fun as well.
I’m loving it! I think it’s got a really good pace. It’s really cool how many new short stories you bring to our attention. And the discussion questions are a lot of fun!
It’s really fun thank you. You’re not moving too fast - obviously it’s one a day. I’ve not been able to catch up because I’m busy with family but I’m really enjoying it when I do!
I think it’s great @lwebb - it’s giving me the impetus to read stuff that’s been on my to read pile for years and also to direct everyone to my Harry Houdini commentary.
No, I think it’s going in a well pace (at least I don’t really have much of trouble following it, even if I sometimes fail doing it on a daily basis, like most advent calendars should go about).
Besides that, yeah, pretty much agree with everybody else about it. (And I must admit I am kinda glad how besides one, there wasn’t any material which I have seen or read, which is nice to always add, especially since I am more focused to get through Stories featuring classic doctors and rarely some newer ones. So it being mainly dominated by NuWho Doctors is a good thing all around, I’d say!)
