I chose all the screenshots that represent TV episodes, and some of them might not be the best choice, so here is a thread for you to suggest alternatives!
Please post a link to the episode on TARDIS Guide (so we can compare with the current image), a new image suggestion (see below with where to get it from), and a poll with two options - something like “keep current image” and “use suggested image”.
I have the following criteria (but open to suggestions):
Ideally should be instantly recognisable which story it is just for the image
Ideally should show the main cast if at possible, but can be difficult to do this and (1)!
Ideally shouldn’t spoil any major reveals but can also be difficult to do this and (1)!
I get the images from this website so it should be from there, or can be a screenshot but the same size.
Edit: New criteria, we have decided to not use promo images
Would you be open to using farfarawaysite? They used to post a LOT but now don’t really, they link to somewhere else called the black archive for new photos. Section of Randomness - Doctor Who Also is there room to suggest for characters or is it best sticking to just eps?
Is there a preference, too, for whether the site uses screenshots or promo pics? (I note it currently has both, eg. the 60th specials all have promo posters).
I don’t mind where they come from, they just need to ideally be the same format. I can always edit them though.
I used promo pics for 60th (and Season One I think) because that was all we had, going forward it’s easier to use the promo pic before the episode airs but can then change them after.
As for Characters, that should be its own topic I think!
