I did just try it though for the repeat of Legend of Ruby Sunday that I did on the 8th. I love that repeats are a thing, but because nearly all of the repeats that I’d log for this year are from all my bulk adding that I did last year, my autism doesn’t like that I don’t know the exact dates I listened/read/watched a story and thus can’t be accurate. If I relisten to something that I know last year was my first encounter, then I will definitely log it as a repeat. Take TLORS. Because I watched it when it aired, I will definitely log any repeat viewings as repeats. An Unearthly Child on the other hand, because I have no idea when I first watched it or when excatly my last viewing was, it will be marked as if it were my first viewing.
On a side note, it appears that you can state that you repeated something from the story page, but can only change the date of repeats in the Diary. I don’t know if this is something that needs tinkering with or just documentation somewhere. Because the date you can change on the story page is the date of first viewing.
This is fantastic! I love marking repeats – in my spreadsheet where I put all my Doctor Who stories I’ve got an extra column just for repeats and it’s fun seeing which stories I’ve listened to the most (Stones of Venice at current count)!
I have one question – would there ever be a way to mark a repeat as going into the Archive? Because for most of my repeats, I know how many times I’ve listened, but not when. But small thing!
(This has reminded me that I’m not actually a Patron yet!! Even though I’ve been planning to be one for a while… )
Will be difficult for me to get the bulk feature working, as it’s 2 different databases, it’s on my list but I wasn’t going to prioritise it right now.
However, as you are a valued Patron, if you tell me the date (and if it’s EVERY repeat on that date) I can do some DB tweaking and fix them all for you.
No! Things are not meant to be easy! We are meant to spend many hours and days on the site, while fixing our stats! That’s the beauty of hard manual labour!
