I’m in the last season of Star Trek Voyager, my first contact with the franchise and GOD, I simply love the development of Seven of Nine, her relationship with her adopted “children” is funny and cute. Recommendations of which series in the franchise to watch next?

It’s hard to go wrong with Trek. That said, some have slower, or perhaps rockier is a better word, starts to them, but even those become incredible.

What kind of thing are you looking for?
If you want a show with a real through line story arc and great character development, go DS9.
If you want more of a similar to Voyager adventure-of-the-week style, go TNG.
If you want more Seven of Nine and to see how she ends up after Voyager, go Picard, though I’d recommend having seen TNG first for obvious reasons.
If you want to learn more about the Delta Quadrant, or to see some of their post Voyager exploration of that region, or just more Janeway, go Prodigy.
It’s been said you pretty much can’t go wrong with any of them, but there’s a few directions you could go.

They’ve confirmed Strange New Worlds Season 5 will be its last, and that final season a shortened run of 6 episodes.
I figured it was going to be done after 5 like Discovery and Lower Decks, but I’m displeased at this shortened final season thing.

That’s a good point. At least it wasn’t like Discovery where they found out after the fifth season was essentially finished that it was the end and had to do additional shooting after.

does DS9 get any better? like im 5 eps in and so far i liked 2 episodes and disliked 3.

Of course it does. Surely you can’t expect to get a full sense of a whole series of 176 episodes from the first 5. TNG started even worse and you liked it. The first two seasons of DS9, like TNG, are widely considered not as good as the rest, even if I think they’re perfectly fine. I’m telling you, it is the best Star Trek.

i think my issue with DS9 is that im not a fan of the crew that much as i was for next gen

DS9 does the most development of the characters of any of the Trek series. They’re all imperfect people with flaws they need to work through, which is a contrast to TNG’s everyone is the best of the best and get along perfectly right away. I find that makes them all far more likeable and more interesting in DS9, there’s so much more nuance.

It does take a bit to get into DS9. I found Odo and Quark to be my favorites, along with Bashir and Garak. Be aware that there’s a lot of world building over the first couple seasons as the crew delves into the aftermath of the Cardassian occupation of Bajor while slowing sowing the seeds of what will become the Dominion War. I personally haven’t watched past Season 2, but that’s more because I don’t tend to binge watch shows and my interests wax and wane and weave around each other.

Where the first two seasons of TNG are largely skippable, the DS9 ones aren’t really. So much world building.

DS9 definitely gets better as it goes on (safe for srason 7 which is meh but i <3 Ezri Dax), but I’d say the first couple seasons are still really strong in comparison to other series

Season 7 is by no means bad, I just think it doesnt quite lives up to the seasons before it

I can agree with that, it’s not quite as good as 5 and 6, but I see a lot of people really not like some of the direction they went in the last season. I’m not one of them.
