Even though itās clearly fake Iām surprised at how consistent the generator managed to be with all the images, maybe one of the best AI works Iāve ever seen because at first my heart really froze with fear that it was trueš¤£

Iām hoping Ncuti doesnāt leave so soon, but all things considered I can see why he would. If Billie Piper does turn out to be 16th Doctor I wouldnāt mind. Sheās a great actress and it would be fun even if itās stunt casting. It would also put a new spin on when The Moment said she wasnāt sure if she was from The Doctorās past or future. Either way I love the show even through its ups and downs. Iām sure whoever they cast as the next Doctor will be great even if itās not everyoneās favorite.

Even though I know itās probably true, I just canāt help it not feeling real because thereās been no talk about it, nothing in the promo, so in a way itāll feel like a surprise still.

There has never been a time when I havenāt known a regeneration was coming when watching a regeneration story BUT theyāve always still worked dramatically for me.
This oneās different, if indeed there is going to be one and thatās really the point. Nothing has been concretely confirmed. I can watch very heavily suspecting but even that isnāt knowing for absolute sure, like all the other times. So unless thereās an announcement in the next 4-5 days, Iāll watch The Reality War not knowing with 100% certainty if the Fifteenth Doctor makes it out of the story.
And thatās actually exciting, despite my suspicions and being privy to leaks etc. Because, for me, each regeneration has been exciting even when Iāve known for weeks or months in advance that the Doctor is going to.
And because I do heavily suspect, the outcome whatever it is will be on some level a surprise to me. Does he regenerate? Yes he does, I suspected but didnāt definitively know. No he doesnāt, holy ā ā ā ā I did NOT see that coming.
Rare, almost unique, as a fan to be in this position despite knowing spoilers and leaks etc.

I just had a thought, which might be influenced by that person here who posted about how 13 is involved in the regeneration, but what if the Doctor instead of stopping the Rani and Omega from bringing back Gallifrey, he sacrifices himself (and regeneration energy) to bring back the right Gallifrey? Thatās why he needs to jumpstart his own regeneration.

I just finished The Great and Bountiful Human Empireās coverage of Wish World. They suggest that since the last time we saw Omega he was mostly played by Peter Davison, they could easily see RTD casting Davison as Omega this time. Which brings me to my light-hearted half-joking speculation that the Sixteenth Doctor will be played by Peter Davison.

I guess Iām a massive hypocrite, because I wasnāt keen on Tennant getting a second numbered incarnation but I would love Davison as Sixteen. I think heās come on so well as an actor since the 80s, and some of his BF performances as Five really blow his TV stuff out of the water. His incarnation is also one of those whoās old on the inside, young on the outside, so it would be interesting to see him come back actually as an older actor, and how that would play into a new version of him as the character.
Iād love to see him as Omega too - it would be very entertaining seeing him in a villain role again too.
