Speculation, rumours, and leaks about Season 2 (2025)

The Master being the Timeless Child does not make sense. I don’t understand this point of view at all.

I sort of agree, but it is what it is.

Sure, but then again I know this show’s ability to throw a thousand ideas at the wall too

I don’t know something about The Master hearing voices, him destroying Gallifrey after finding out he was experimenting on would make more sense to me,idk maybe its just cause i didnt like the approach for the whole storyline.

IMO, the worst thing about the timeless child is that people still don’t seem to be able to have a calm discussion about it - it isn’t “stupid”, but it definitely isn’t flawless either, and people are well within their rights to like it, or take issue with it, or have their own theories on it, or whatever. Nine times out of ten, it seems like someone will make an ill-thought comment or dismiss another person’s opinion, and then someone on the other side will do the same, and it just makes me wish it wasn’t still such a big sticking point for discussions in the fandom. I hope as more time goes by and we get further away from it, people will be able to discuss it respectfully without trampling on each other’s opinions. Basically:

It’s fine, I’m sure it wasn’t intentional - I know I definitely sometimes post without thinking

So I think Omega will be the cliffhanger so that means just one episode with Omega… :sob: Don’t get me wrong Wish World looks good but… a whole episode in a fake reality eh we’ve had it before and imo it means that the final part will be super rushed given its RTD. Seems like last year all over again, lots of build up in part 1.

I wish all this hadn’t leaked cause the ppl who were gagged at last week probably arent expecting to be gagged again like this, especially not Omega.

I wonder if Omega turns out to be essentially a plot device. It’d suck, but I can imagine it. Just a CGI Omega showing up but not actually doing much. Once Sutekh showed up last year, the big CGI dog just sort of sat around chilling.

Hopefully that’s better handled this time. What with Time Lords and Gallifrey lore being important, it seems, it would be a bit weird to have Omega not contribute anything to it, being one of the founders.

Idk why Omega has to be CGIed

Yeah, personally although it’s pretty clear that Omega will feature in some capacity in the Reality War, I feel like the Rani is actually the main villain of the story.

The only way I can see Omega appearing in the finale is because of the Rani either directly or indirectly.

Summary

With indirectly I mean that, somehow, her experiments cause the fabric of reality itself to rip apart, allowing not only Omega but the whole Underverse to leak into our reality.

With this in mind, I feel like I rather have two episodes with a good Rani and an underused Omega, than having one episode with the Rani as the main villain, and the next one with Omega being the bigger threat, because then it feels like none of them have enough time to breath and everything feels rather crammed.

A problem I have with Empire of Death is that, I don’t think we spend enough time with Sutekh, having him appear only in Empire of Death feels like they didn’t know what to do with him for two full episodes and as a result, it feels like a less important threat.

The thing is that this time, we have the Rani for two full episodes, and I don’t want her to become a new Susan Triad just for the sake of bringing Omega back. The leaks I’ve seen don’t say anything about how much of the episode he is in, only that he is a big CGI monster with a claw, so I want to believe that his return won’t take much away from whatever the Rani is up to.

I know that RTD has said that “there’s a third member of the Trinity waiting” but I mean, he words things a certain way to purposely make them sound bigger, better and more epic. Like when he said that there was a woman at the end of the universe that will help the Doctor defeat Sutekh and ended up being a random lady with a spoon.

I want the Rani to be the Rani, not “Spoon Woman”. I rather have Omega be the “Spoon Woman”.

If the Leak is true (I say If since I don’t remember if that Part in particular has been said by the ones who got everything right), can I just say that I really don’t understand the Need to get Omega in here. Like sure Omega is cool and all, but with Susan, the Ranis, Conrad, and the whole fake Reality Thing, don’t we have already enough going on that might be fighting for time? :sob:
I guess we shall see

So from the original Evans leak, we still have to get the Rani on horseback in a forest in Hungary, and then Mrs Flood talking about Omega.

Then some guy on GallifreyBase (rotten place) who also said correct things, said that the finale will make Space Babies look like Caves of Androzani and will be a jumping off point for older/classic series fans.

Dreading whatever Susan stuff is coming…

Return of Spoon Woman please.

Yikes. I am hopeful in a way, no matter what happens a future showrunner can choose to incorporate or disregard any previous shorunners ideas.

Literally what a waste of time that bit was, went on far too long IMO. Honestly some good stuff in that 2 parter but the 1st part should’ve been more than just build up.

Yeah I don’t know whats gonna happen but apparently in DWM he said Gallifrey lore stuff is coming I am dreading some Susan/Doctor/Rani tomfoolery…
