Speculation, rumours, and leaks about Season 2 (2025)

Doctor: No, no, no. Stop it! Look. I was never, ever here. Never! The timelines in the canon are rupturing.

Yeah i know I’ve said it a billion times but they’d genuinely have to pull it off right

I am all here for a Susan return AS LONG AS THEY DO IT RIGHT

I’m not a very pedantic fan tbf and I usually enjoy anything they put out (I even enjoyed Empire of Death apart from the stupid bloody sign that was ridiculous) but if they’re going to bring back Susan Foreman then we need a GOOD and EXPLAINED return, not just some random ahh cameo

On another note, I’m genuinely so excited for Ruby to return in the finale as I genuinely don’t think her story is over… remember when Maestro said ā€˜this creature is wrong’… there is something more to her I think :eyes:

Im sure briggs is gonna hate RTD for it

This will vary for every single fan. They won’t ever be able to please everyone.

I do agree, though, that a random cameo probably isn’t the best way to bring her back. But, again, context will be key.

Yeah just checked Andrew Evans is now renamed to ā€˜ā€˜meglos’’

RTD is just being weird and annoying lately by restricting everything. Sutekh’s back! But they only met once before… The Toymaker’s back! But they only met once before…

Why? Why do this? Its just pointless and adds nothing.

I doubt Nicholas Briggs will care. Stuff gets glossed over, changed, retconned, ignored, referenced, acknowledged, whatever, all the time. BF and TV Who can still sit side by side.

that wasnt by evans that was by Pat,a fake leaker who got lots of stuff wrong.

Yeah I defo see what you mean. Personally I did enjoy the return of the Toymaker and Sutekh but it did all feel very rushed and something was off with the returns

not to repeat this but if we had longer episode times then I feel like there would be more opportunities for RTD to tell these stories how they truly should be told

I liked the returns but why did he purposefully write those lines in which retcons the BF/other eu encounters. Felt unnecessary and it didn’t add anything.

I’m not taking a side here but RTD is telling these stories how he thinks they ā€œtruly should be told.ā€ But it’s literally just his vision. We don’t have to like it or agree with it.

yeah you are right. Personally I love RTD’s writing and sometimes it is a lil iffy but I can always see his true vision, whether I like it or not

For TV drama. He could use a flashback to The Celestial Toymaker and having the two seemingly only having encountered each other once before made the encounter in The Giggle feel rare, and it was also superficially a nod to the 60s era of Who for the 60th anniversary. It sort of undermines it a bit if they feel they have to go ā€œoh we’ve met loads of times.ā€

Again, I’m not taking sides here - just playing devil’s advocate and seeing it from a potential RTD TV scripting point of view.

Don’t forget about Luke Smith, the God of Autism (I’m autistic, and I’m claiming him as one us)!

If this is true: the rumour about baby Poppy being The Doctor and Belinda’s daughter, I hope it’s kinda like how Jenny was created… And not anything else. Or maybe the Universe’s way of creating a weird hybrid, that poor Susan might have to look after. But I don’t immediately hate the idea. But it doesn’t align with Space Babies at all (yet).

or maybe it is Susan. 15 says he never had kids. Susan could be a displaced Poppy, that’d make sense. Subsequently then given to Fugitive Doctor, highlighting how she became The First Doctor.

Guys, you’re going to kill me, but of everything I’ve read about the ending, I think this is the least confusing and worst, lol. I can draw a line of reasoning for this. Maybe that person who is involved in the ending did experiments with the Doctor’s and Belinda’s genes. I find this plausible, actually. Not that I like it or anything, but you know when we’re already in deep shit and nothing really shakes me anymore. But let’s see how these things can be executed. If they’re real, you never know.
