I’m sceptical. If we’re ending with a regeneration, and with no official word from Disney (unless Bad Wolf are already in the know privately), it would be strange to me to cast a new Doctor given that they don’t know (a) the future of the series yet and (b) what their budget would be. And from the other side, why would any actor sign up for a role that is, right now, in limbo?

I feel as though the only way it’d happen is if there have been talks in private about the possibility that Disney aren’t going to recommission. If they are, bonus. If not, it’s possible RTD and Bad Wolf have touted the idea of a one-off special, “can the BBC and/or Bad Wolf afford one? If so, this actor/actress has shown interest, and they don’t mind if it ends up being a one-and-done project.”

Time will tell I guess!

I am going to be honest, I am not exactly sure if I believe those Rumors of a new Doctor. Sure, yes, Ncuti is probably wanting to branch out into the Film Industry and I can see him wanting to leave after Series 15 (I don’t want to, but I can see it happened). But already hearing about a new Doctor and from a Leaker like him.. I don’t know, it doesn’t sit right with me for various Reasons.

We’ll see, but for now I will believe it when I see it.

Its being ‘reported’ by several twitter users, one of whom I have to say is reliable, that some big tabloids have got a big Doctor Who leak and it may get front page or at least reported on… I’m sorry but RTD NEEDS to sort this out, these leaks are crazy.
