If it does, it will be open-ended, which means we could still have a fake-out when the next episode after The Reality Wars airs at Christmas or in a year or two. Like if Journey’s End came months and months after The Stolen Earth.

I keep seeing this cited that Ncuti’s career is on the rise at the minute and while he’s got more going on than most actors that portray The Doctor usually do during their run, he’s not attached to any other projects except a play later in the year. He’s in a position where signing on for another two seasons wouldn’t be unrealistic, although I mean we could get to The Reality War and he does regenerate so who knows lol.

So I just read in a doctor who discord server but the (heavy spoilers so only click if intrigued but two Ranis and omega stuff/regeneration is true, a french localiser sent his friends french screenshots of the finale he was right…

Btw earlier this year it was revealed in a now deleted CV that Archie Panjabi was working with Peter hoar (lucky days director) so she may be introduced in episode 4 before her characters big reveal later on

I wonder if episode 4 might do more than we think it will. As in, it’s going to be a sort of Long Game whereby it has knock-on effects for the finale, but more than we anticipate.

Real talk though the BBC clearly got rights back to the Rani somewhere around 2022-2023 hence why she appears now in the magic the gathering crossover and lost in time mobile game, so someone (maybe rtd) must have managed to get in contact and convince the estate for the rights sometime before the 60th episodes
