Was gunna reply with this elsewhere, but thought it probably best to put here. After the news of the cinema screening, the lack of early drop on streaming, etc. Iām leaning very heavily towards a regeneration occurring for 15.
Could still be wrong, of course! Time will tell!

I saw some speculation about this earlier as well - I donāt think the BBC would delay the release of the finale just to coincide with the cinema release, so Iām unfortunately thinking along the same lines. I hope not though, as we havenāt had a lot of Fifteen, and it feels like his era is just hitting its stride!

This, I agree with. Shorter seasons have made his era feel so fleeting.
But from a production POV, Ncuti signed his contract in 2022, and has been part of the show for 3 years now. With Season 3 up in the air for another month or two at least (and the fact Season 2 wrapped properly in May 2024!) I honestly think Ncuti might just want to move on. And this news today has just added more weight to all the rumours, I think.
That said, I could very well be wrong. Four weeks til we find out, I guess!

And I in turn agree with you here - that is a big gap, and I really wouldnāt be surprised if Ncuti doesnāt want to wait around much longer, especially when his career is on the rise right now.
As you say, four weeks until we find out - Iāll be crossing my fingers we have Ncuti for at least another series

I really hope that Ncuti Gatwa stays for another season because his have been so short, and I love his portrayal of the Doctor, but it makes sense that he would want to leave after a few years. I would love it if the rumors of it airing at 7pm BST were true, since the finale dropping at 2 pm would be lovely!

If there is a regeneration, I will be doing what I was doing when I watched The Well - saying, āNoā repeatedly at the screen, and not for positive reasons.

Yeah but with that logic he could have regenerated last year because he also was on cinema for the final in 2024. Itās probably nothing serious. And they mentioned on the site (or Facebook page I canāt remember) the time change was to make it easier for families and their kids to watch it

Iām not saying cinema release = regeneration on its own. Thatās ridiculous. This scheduling decision has just added to the mounting rumours, is all, IMO.
