I genuinely don’t think @OmegaSupremus has any bad intentions, or is at all related to Andrew Evans.
And it is really easy to find someone’s YouTube comments
We could give Andrew Evans even more legitimacy by having a thread for everything he’s said, or people can just post “leaks” and speculations here (?), (on the topic of bringing up the guy too much.)
No matter what the dude says, he’s a bad person morally. But what Evans is saying is interesting for those who don’t mind leaks, even if sourced from bad-faith individuals. Even if I’d rather not give him legitimacy by bringing him up here, isn’t the point of this thread…like, in part, what “leakers” are saying?
Gonna predict that if it is a sequel and not a prequel then we will get a cameo from Lesley Sharp (Sky).
She has worked on a few things with RTD, and I know she isn’t “the midnight entity” but she was possessed by it, and maybe there is a scene where it has to speak to them so it uses her image.
Just guessing here, it’s the kind of thing they’d do maybe.
But if it’s a prequel then of course it wouldn’t make any sense.
Honestly I am SUPER excited for this episode, and a sequel to Midnight would be great. I love how BF do sequels, sometimes too often but nevertheless they’re cool and I’d like New Who to do more. I recently heard on a podcast with Chibnall his original S3 script instead of 42 was gonna be a sequel to The Satan Pit!
I am however worried if true, the rest of that clowns leaks are true… We shall see!
I won’t say I’m excited - purely because I don’t have enough to really go on for that. But I’m certainly intrigued and interested in what’s about to play out. A sequel/prequel doesn’t do anything one way or the other for me; I’m more just fascinated to see what they’d come up with and how it’s done.
There’s a scene in the trailer that hasn’t aired yet - with 15 and Belinda in their Lux outfits - where Belinda asks about her parents. Maybe that’ll be the opening of The Well, and we briefly get to see them?
If this is the case, I will say I’m very much enjoying the continuity linking each episode together. We kicked off Lux with them moments after The Robot Revolution, and maybe The Well kicks off moments after their departure from Miami 1952. Feels almost Hartnell-esque with each episode directly connecting into each other.
Whilst it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for cuts, I feel like them cutting out an emotional beat of Belinda asking about her parents and if he can get her home/keep them safe with him saying “I can, I will, I do. [I will take you home.]” would be a mistake. It feels like a big character moment (I’m assuming right before they get plunged into the horror of whatever The Well entails.)
Of course, with this show, it could even be a flashback shown later (eg. as Belinda is in danger, they flashback to this which is set after Lux where she remembers him promising to keep her safe, before cutting back to her needing the Doctor to save her, or something.)
Episode 4 opens with them being flung back to Miami 1952 for some reason, and 15 just says, “oh to hell with it, fancy another look around?!” and he whisks her back to the TARDIS wardrobe
If Lucky Day is Doctor-lite then in between following Ruby they keep switching to the episode’s B-plot which is the Doctor and Belinda dancing around the TARDIS in their Miami clothes.
