Also I think it’s funny that it’s often the same people who have these two conflicting views:

1. Midnight is a really good story because we never find out the origin of the creature, and explaining more would ruin it
2. 73 Yards is a bad story because we never find out the origin of the creature and explaining more would improve it

I wouldn’t say so. It’s an expansion on the themes, and Ripley’s story was left on a cliffhanger.

What, I’d argue, would ruin Alien and Aliens would be if somebody decided to tell us what the Space Jockey is, and how the Xenomorphs were made, thus ruining the mystery.

I’d further argue that Alien 3 kind of ruins the first two, to the point that the writers had to come up with the comic series to steer the franchise back on track.

Anyways, Alien Isolation is the best thing ever, and is immune to being ruined due to your personal involvement in the narrative as Amanda.

Each to their own! It was actually my first Alien film. I quite like the underrated Alien movies I tend to prefer them to the likes of 1 & 2. Hated Covenant though, and Romulus was just superb!

It’s just a bit pointless to believe anything he said because if it’s real then he’s just a jerk, posting leaks which he’s not allowed to (probably risking his job if he’s signed an NDA) all for attention?

So it’s probably not real, just a NMD^[1] with a grudge and who has figured some things out from set leaks and DWM and tries to pretend he knows more than he does.

Either way, it doesn’t matter what he says or thinks. We need to just enjoy it ourselves and make up our own minds.
