Sonic Screwdrivers

A pink version of 15s sonic is now available to buy and it seemed like a chance to ask - how many sonic screwdrivers do you own?

I have loads and one of my favourites was this one from many years ago where you could mix and match different parts to make a unique sonic:

I’ve had the 10th and 11th doctors ones since I was a little kid. Me and my brother would play pretend with them a lot, but the 11th doctor one we had got broken (It doesn’t stay unextended) so we got a second so I have two 11th doc ones.

The first 11th Doctor one we didn’t actually buy because one of my mums friends was in an episode and got it for free and gave it to us. At least that’s my vague memory of what happened.

I never got the 12th Doctor one but I think I was content pretending with a pair of sunglasses when I was little xD

My brother got me the 13th doctor one which I’ve kept in the box cause I guess I just didn’t feel like playing around with it at the time.

i used to have the plastic 9/10 sonic that was a pen where you could replace the tip to be an invisible ink pen. the blue light revealed the ink. great idea but probably just should’ve been an invisible ink pen to begin with with no removable tip because it was pretty easy to lose one or both tips. also at one point it sort of broke where the sound got way quieter. i don’t know where it is now. (my siblings and i each had one, so there were three floating around our house, and i guess i have to assume they wound up donated or thrown away at some point.)

I own a small plastic version of 12’s series 9 screwdriver. It used to light up with a slider or a button but it stopped working a while ago despite changing the batteries a few times.

I have a DWA pen for both 11 and 12’s Sonics, a Sonic Spork, an 11’s Sonic keyring, 13’s and 14’s CO sonics, and a 3D printed 8 sonic

I think he’s more like a friend of a friend.
He played the landlord in night terrors.

I have the 11th Doctor Style Sonic Screwdriver–in spork form. Not mine, but looks like this:

I got it as a present for Christmas, I think because when I saw it in the store, I couldn’t help but laugh.

Oh, I’ve got one of those too. Mine was a gift as well, from my wife I think. It’s nice to have a sonic screwdriver that actually has a practical use.

I also own a full-size 11th Doctor screwdriver. That one is less practical but looks nice.

This is something that I don’t really understand. Why would you want a version that does not look like the one from the show? Is it just me that feels like this?

It does look like the one from the show, it just looks like the one from an episode that’s not out yet

I see. Forget everything I just wrote. BBC are smart and want to make more money by changing the look.

I have the 11th Doctor’s sonic screwdriver remote from The Wand Company. It was a Christmas present around 10 years ago. Cane in a nice casing. It’s nice to look at but not very practical as a remote.
