This was really fun! This story perfectly fit the Thirteenth Doctor and I love all the little references throughout
The 699 Wonders of the World mention was really cool considering I watched Day of the Daleks just yesterday!
The concept was really unique and I loved the resolution too!

Listened to and from work today and it was fun! Clare Corbett did a great job with all the voices and you could see it all happening pretty clearly.

Just listened to this as my last new story of the year. Solid, if not particularly remarkable to me personally (same as last year’s winner, if I’m honest). That’s probably more on me than the story itself though - I find it harder to get into individual Short Trips than I do other ranges, between the narrated format and limited runtime. Clare Corbett does a very good Jodie Whitaker impersonation!

I finally got a Big Finish account to download this story, and I must say after listening once I love everything about it. The story, the humour, the voice 
, the Big Finish app. The fact that you can download the script. I was always sceptical because audiobooks have no subtitles, but in this case I could follow well enough. I will definitely read the script and then listen again, and then do some further investigations about the Big Finish programme.

This is the first Paul Spragg Short Trip I’ve listened to as a fellow entrant, not just somebody bored. When it was announced that a story had been selected, I feverishly refreshed my email, imagining that I’d spend the summer coordinating with John Ainsworth, expanding my draft, watching the recording session on Zoom, and doing a bit for the BTS track. It was a little disappointing to have been passed over, but in hindsight, great call by BF. This is among those contest winners which prompts the response, “I get why I lost.”
Mindful of how my fanfic might be seen by others, and aware of how long it took him to get here, I don’t want to be harsh on Hollands. That said, “The Wednesday That Wasn’t” didn’t gel with me as much as “War Stories”, chosen in 2024. The conceit is an amazing one—perfectly Who, and obviously the product of the effort mentioned by Hollands—Thirteen is bang on,[1] the imagery is vivid, and Clare Corbett’s Yaz impression is excellent, but the plot loses steam towards the end, and Edna, our PoV character, takes a backseat for a lot of it. My writer brain was also going haywire, finding things to nitpick which only I care about. “‘Shush,’ the Doctor beside her admonished,”[2] and so on.
