Jokes. I hate how the numbering is so confusing now. They mean series 16, or season 3.

Well, this is a pretty vague statement. RTD has said that Season 3 won’t start filming until after Season 2 has aired. That’s probably not until the second half of 2025, which means we might not see Season 3 until late 2026/early 2027.

Fair enough. I just happened to notice the article while scrolling through other stuff. Still, it confirms (in theory) that there will be a third Ncuti season. Which is more than we’ve gotten so far.

I know, but he’s powerless against the Mouse if they decide to pull the brakes to evaluate the situation. I’m sure he’d like to keep pumping out new seasons every year, but knowing the amount of time needed for production these days and the fact that the continuation is decided upon after Season 2 has aired, they’re going to have to make their decision quickly, or there won’t be enough time to finish the season for 2026. That also depends on how far along the pre-production stage is in early 2025 and on Ncuti’s availability, as he won’t just be sitting around waiting for the show to begin.
But let’s hope that Disney is as confident in the show as we’ve been led to believe!

RTD has said that even if Disney pull out, the BBC still want it to carry on. They’ll just have less of a budget.
Or maybe they can go back into talks with others like Amazon, Netflix, Apple.
We just have to wait and see!

I just saw on X that they cut out the moment where Ncuti talks about filming Season 3 next year from The Graham Norton Show. I don’t know if that’s true, but if it is, it seems that it’s too early to tell when filming on S3 is due to commence.

So we watched it and, nope, no mention of filming anything. All talk of Who stopped with the Christmas special which he couldn’t say anything about. He was there to promote his play The Importance of Being Earnest so most of the chat was about that.
Seems like people at the recording heard him say it but it was gone by the time the show was broadcast.
