Revamping Story Imports – Get Involved!

We need to revisit how we import stories, so I’ve created a new topic for it.

How we’ll track progress:

  • I’ve updated the overview page and added a new column for those responsible for data input.
  • If you pick up a task, leave a comment here, and I’ll assign it to you.
  • Once you’re done, I’ll move it to “Done” and assign it to Shauny. Make sure to comment here when you complete something.
  • We also have a backlog. If something is missing, please add it there.
  • If you don’t have access to the Google Sheet, just ask.

The best way to get something added to the site is to contribute! If you’re unsure how, feel free to ask.

:point_right: Check the Google Sheet for tasks that haven’t been started yet. If possible, try to complete ongoing tasks before picking something from the backlog.

Songs have been in progress for a long time. Is this something that we want on the site? If it is, can someone finish it?

Stuff that needs a person to start working on:

  • BBV Audio batch 3
  • stage plays
  • Activity Books
  • FASA Who content
  • Faction Paradox short stories
  • TARDISodes - @MrColdStream
  • Official BBC reconstructions
  • a few Polystyle prose stories that are currently missing (only the thing from outer space appears to be on-site) - @deltaandthebannermen

I don’t know what is missing and what is not. Check the comments if there are any, and check the wiki and try to cross-reference with the guide.

Yay, love the energy!

The biggest help I need is just to cross reference what we’ve got and what still needs to be done.

I try to add to the list whenever someone mentions some, but I might have missed some.

Twelve Stories was a short story anthology written by Paul Magrs, and published by Salt Publishing Seven out of the twelve short stories in the anthology are not DWU-related, so they are outside of the scope of this wiki.

Do we want the short stories that are not related to DWU on the site or only the ones that are DWU related?

Still not quite sure how to add these - what pictures to add, etc - they will look too much like a duplicate of the original?

I think that we should add them in the same way as animation. Could we have a logo on the image?
