I don’t really publicise it heavily - there is just a link in the footer and you kind of have to find it yourself! - but we do have an active Discord server!
If you’re not sure what Discord is, it’s an app used for chatting, screen sharing, video and voice calls - and we have a very similar setup to the forum where we have channels for each topic (one for books, one for audios, etc) that you can chat in.
I personally prefer the forum because it’s slower paced and more laid back, but the Discord has features that we don’t have here, and there are members who only hang out there.
Plus I made a badge for anyone that wants to boost the server ;)

I actually was on the Discord briefly before the Forum, but trying to keep up with conversations was almost impossible. Especially if you were gone all day, or several days.

Yeah, I don’t like how Discord is immediate, active conversations with people where you need to stay right there, where with a forum you can post and then check back in a bit. And on a forum, you can write, say, a full page response or post, and things aren’t going to vanish as things scroll up, and things can easily have their own thread.
I actually kinda hate the modern trend of everything going to support or discussion for things being on a Discord because it kinda gatekeeps the information and assumes the Discord forum is actually active.
Not to mention it assumes Discord itself will always be there and available and won’t be yanking your chain around, and this is the company that’s going public and just switched out their CEO for someone from Activision-Blizzard… (And has been more and more in your face about wanting money from people…)

I’m already on this forum too much. It often takes me a while to read through everything that crops up while I’m asleep. I was getting lost in the Discord threads way too easily.

I joined the discord a few months ago and I mostly lurk but I prefer the forum since it’s easier to catch up with past conversations.
