Haven’t listened to all of them yet, but most enough to be able to vote here. Voted for The Invention of Death, which is just great. There is just so much to love here for me, easily the Peak Point of the ones, which I have listened to.
As for the others:
The Last of the Romanovs is a great Pure Historical as well (in general I am happy that they decided to do 50% Pure Historicals in that range).
Tick-Tock World is great fun!
I found The Hollow Crown quite enjoyable.
For the Glory of Urth was a bit meh.
And Return to Skaro is probably the weakest of the bunch, with some interesting Ideas but not much else going for it (in my eyes).
Looking forward to finishing the Range! (The order in which I discussed them is also the Order of how I would rank them, so far).
Also, yes I love resurrecting older Topics for no real reason other than finding said Topic interesting!

There is only two bad stories in the first ten 1DAs in my opinion, and it’s The Destination Wars and For the Glory of Urth. The first one is boring and the second I didn’t have a good time listening much because of the voice effects.
I quite like them besides that tho. All the historicals are strong, my favorite being The Great White Hurricane. The most ambitious ones are clearly The Invention of Death and Tick-Tock World, and they are also the two I like the most. Tick-Tock World is the one that does the most of Susan, I would say this era of the 1DAs is better for Ian and Barbara. Which is fine by me, given I love Ian and Barbara.
Return to Skaro is super traditional but I think that works really well as a second visit to Skaro in the way it was portrayed in the sixties. Feels authentic and that’s what it’s trying to be.
