The Aztecs is an easy pick for me. Absolutely one of my favourites.
For The War Games and Spearhead from Space it’s a really hard choice. Master piece vs the best new Doctor opener. I’m gonna have to go with Spearhead.

The War Games and Genesis of fhe Daleks.
Although both could have gone either way. I think the length of The War Games puts be off rewatching it as much as I do Spearhead, but I do think it is the better story of the two.
And it really did come close to a coin toss in the second poll, but I think Genesis is just marginally better for me. And an important story. Plus I just love Four.

Spearhead is a great opener but The War Games is simply one of the best to ever do it. Manages to be engaging for ten parts straight and practically reinvented the show at the same time, it’s magnificient.
And Genesis is deeply overrated. Like, it’s fine, Davros is good but Terry Nation really can’t pace his scripts. The Aztecs, on the other hand, lay the foundations for the whole show and is my favourite First Doctor episode, so I’ve got to go with that.

They are quarterfinals, so they should be. 
It just doesn’t happen that way a lot of the time, i.e. this year’s French Open.

Both, I’ll be honest. Aztecs is a 7/10 for me - very strong, but Genesis is better IMO (but I know you’re a Genesis hater, so I see why you voted that way).
Spearhead is again a strong 7/10, but The War Games is just stronger overall (although that might just be because I’ve never been the biggest fan of the Third Doctor).

The Aztecs is my overall #1. I love Barbara in it. I even used Yetaxa as my screen name on AOL back in the dark ages of dial up and it was its own platform. 
I also really enjoy Ian and the Doctor, Tlotoxl, Autloc, Ixta, Cameca, and even Susan.

Spearhead From Space gets talked out of invading Earth, thus The War Games advances, 20-15.
The Aztecs sacrifices itself to the sun god, allowing Genesis of the Daleks to take the last semifinal spot, 20-16.

Glad to see that The War Games is winning. I voted for Genesis as well, but I’ll take the fourth place for that, it’s done well in the tournament so far.
