Poll: Which emojis would you add as a reaction?

Its just a natural progression I suppose! I’d say most if not all of my friends dropped using the laughing emoji in favour of the crying one probably years ago now. Suppose it depends on what circles you’re in though really!

I know the skull symbol was also used to indicate laugher/humour too, at one point. Emojis are hard to keep up with sometimes :sob:

In my friend group, :sob: means “OH NO!” and “that’s so annoying / terrible”. It’s low stakes – we use it for stuff like buses being late, but never for laughter. I always have to mentally check myself because that’s how I always see :sob:!

Its like now I think the younger generation are using a rose emoji to mean dead from laughter or something??? That won’t catch on with me…

Yeah, I use :sob: to mean “NOOOO!” like “Martha was robbed :sob:” and  to indicate genuine sadness like “I’m sorry your dog died ”. Totally different meanings for me.

I always see :sob: as the reacter being sad or disappointed about something, I don’t see crying from laughter in it at all. This is laughing so hard you’re crying: :joy:.
