My first story with Leela was The Roots of Evil. A few years later I finished all eight series of Gallifrey and then four Time War box sets, did a re-listen of all that before War Room, THEN finally watched Leela’s introduction in tv. (Similar route for Romana) (；·∀·)

Well, all the classic who character who appear in new who I would have met there. Also had some of the earlier doctors and masters I think in diary of River Song. And the eighth doctor in audios, but I don’t think that is too odd.
And my very first episode of doctor who was Christmas invasion which was very confusing
