I’d love to hear 9 Vs War Master or Macqueen, but I also don’t think there’s any way to make 9 vs a time lord work without harming his character arc; even if there was a mindwipe

Agree with what was said upthread, I see the limitation as a good thing.
Like @deltaandthebannermen says, we’ve had Eccleston meet the Cybermen in his solo run and we’ve had him with an incarnation of the Master as well in Once and Future.
He’s met Sontarans, Ice Warriors and Sea Devils so this run would be more in-keeping with the Series One vibe if he didn’t meet many more returning monsters.
That said, I really wouldn’t mind a rematch with the Nestene Consciousness and the Autons later in his time with Rose, a la the Slitheen rematch later in the series with Boom Town. I think that could work.
My fan brain has all manner of returning monsters I’d like to see him against, but I think it might be worth slowing the charge on that front for the Nine/Rose audios…

While maybe a bit bummer at first, I do think Limitations usually amounts into more creativity. As much as I love a fun Return, I do love me some good original Monsters/Villains that can return over and over again in other Places. Would be nice to get something like this out of this Series.
Besides, I am sure there will do some Returns as well, I mean @ChrisStokes already said a pretty good Idea in that regard.

Im not too bummed that master,daleks and cybermen will return.So what do yall want from these 12 episodes,i for example have 1 wish,give 9 a real christmas special.

Just Stories I enjoy. I don’t think I have exactly any kind of wishes or expectations. I am sure they will do a Christmas Episode eventually, since that’s kinda something A LOT of People want and with the new release format, something that just makes sense. I will say I hope to see and read newer Names writing for that Range, as much as I do like some big heavy hitter Writers for BF, it would be nice to also see newer ones or some which don’t have written all that much yet

Oh, I am sure there will be more with them, but for now we don’t have to worry considering this series will run until like… uhh 2026? 2027? So a lot of time still left to look forward to the upcoming Stories!

Definitely it’ll not be the only ones. Even if it were, more reason to cherish them as we did S1! Its been 20 years, I’ll be happy just doubling the OG count!

Oh, I’d agree! Obviously we don’t know for certain if there will be more after this but considering it didn’t take them that long to reveal the 9DAs are coming back after they ended last year. I do think the chances of more are very likely. Maybe with some pauses in between. Either way, no need to worry too soon considering we have at least two years with them guaranteed!
