Apologies for the late introduction. Hi, my name is HoloMew151. I first got into Doctor Who when I was 11.
Funnily enough, my introductory story was “The Day of the Doctor” back in 2013. Since then, I have been off and on regarding the franchise. I dropped it late into Capaldi’s run, but picked it up around the end of Jodie’s run.
Currently, however, my focus is on Torchwood. I will likely be talking mostly about my experiences with that show, which I first got into during 2024, and the EU material around it. I am also interested in recording my experiences with the other more obscure branches of Doctor Who.
Welcome to the forum @HoloMew151 - great to have you here.
Talking of Torchwood, have you joined in our special event which starts today? You get a special limited badge for watching, repeating or reviewing a Torchwood story - and there’s the same for Class too. It’s for their 20th and 10th anniversaries respectively.
Yes I heard. I already got the two badges! Hopefully, I can get the third badge - it was part of the reason I finally got around to making an introductory post.
Welcome Holomew! Glad to hear that the Torchwood vs Class event inspired you to join us. I look forward to reading your thoughts as you explore Torchwood and some other aspects of the EU.
Welcome to the best place on the internet for all fans of the greatest show in time and space.
I started watching around series 7B too. It was 2014 here, but cool we have that in common. At least I think it was series 7B. My earliest memories of watching doctor who were Clara and 11, but I have memories from around the same time of thinking about Amy and Rory(and trying to figure out what had happened to Rory because I had missed episodes, and thought he had somehow ended up as a time lord because Melody was half time lord)
I went a bit off topic, but that’s quite common here
