New feature: Set a default per-page option!

I’ve just added a highly requested feature - set a default per-page option!

By default the site shows 24 items per page, but many people want to see more and are fed up of always having to click the dropdown to change it.

The reason I don’t show more by default anyway is it is quite taxing on the server to show lots and lots at once for everyone.

For this reason, this feature is for Patrons only!

To change it, go to My Account → Customisation and change this setting which is under Story Page Customisations. You can make it go up to 120!

By the way, there is one small, unavoidable caveat here.

If you choose some filters, and go to a page (say, page 10) and then copy the URL to share with someone else - they will probably see different results listed because their per-page setting may not be the same as yours.

So if you intend to link to a certain page of stories, please still first specifically choose the per-page setting, even if the number looks the same and then navigate & share!

Sorry but this is something I couldn’t do without making the whole thing more difficult to use!

A nice litte addition. I will probably never use it but it’s good that it exists for those who want it.

And every new Patron feature gives more value to that £1, making it technically even cheaper! It’s so worth it!
