So my 50th is coming up I’m a few months. Last week my wife excitedly called me from outside our local Oxfam shop. The entire window was full of Doctor Who figures. I quickly realised what she was describing were the Eaglemoss figurines. I hadn’t ever plunged into buying them due to their expense but admired them from afar. The shop had already closed but she did her best to identify the various figures.
To confirm what there was I walked there after work and discovered the treasure trove of Boks, Quarks, Daleks, Anne Droids and Cheetah People.
I went home and we started working out which ones I really wanted. They weren’t cheap but they were much less than they could be found online for. Which of the around 45 figures did I definitely want for my birthday?
The next day, my wife got to the shop at 9am and bought me the entire lot…(and yes, she even managed to get a bit of a bulk discount because that’s the sort of woman she is).
(They’re also my 20th wedding anniversary present)
Here are the first three I’ve unboxed. They are gorgeous. And the only problem is now…I want more!
Aggedor - my beauty (he’s an extra large one)
Gel Guard (in honour of having just watched The Three Doctors)
The First Doctor (I have 1, 4, 7 and 11 (plus 12 from a previous charity shop find)).
I am going to have work really hard on her anniversary and 50th present (although hers isn’t till next year, so I have time…)
Sounds like a perfect gift
The Gel Guard looks absolutely delicious
My condolences.
Now this is a woman worth all the love in the world!
Fifteen Doctors Fifteen Stories arrived today, looking forward to 14s story
Prepare to be amazed!
I’ve heard it’s good
It’s just a reprint of three previously published stories
Aren’t all novelisations just reprints of already published stories when you think about it
Well, I’ve read novelizations of games before…
(Mostly Infocom text adventures, like Wishbringer, Enchanter, and Zork: The Zork Chronicles.)
Congratulations!
It’s so cute!!!
HOW AM I GOING TO FOCUS ON MY HOMEWORKS WHEN SHE’LL BE ON MY SHELF LOOKING ADORABLE LIKE THIS
