“The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders of Mars” and “Blackstar” are both albums of Bowie’s that I really like.

My favorite music group of all time is the Japanese techno pop trio PERFUME. Been a fan of them for a large portion of my life and even got to see them live about six or seven years ago.

I’m mostly into pop music, but I listen to a lot of different stuff. Whatever sounds good at the time. I’m a really big fan of Dua Lipa (who I’ve also gotten to see live). My favorite album of all time is Demon Days by Gorillaz. It’s the epitome of a perfect album for me.

Lately I’ve been big into the Thai girl groups Empress and VIIS and the Israeli artist Noga Erez (yes, I know, but from what I can tell her personal views are more liberal and she doesn’t seem to support what’s going on).

I also recently discovered Anti-Flag. They’ve been around awhile, but they’re new for me.

Searching for another song, I found Sotiria fka Eisblume – Tanzen Richtung Untergang.
I remember buying their first album back in 2009. Time flies!
Great song to dance to. I think you can enjoy it even without understanding the lyrics, but here’s a quick translation of the chorus anyway:
And we dance towards our doom.
Why does it feel so right?
That one step a little too close to the edge.

I saw her tour in Portland Oregon back in 2015 or 16 with Rupa and the April Fishes opening (excellent band, I highly recommend them). Then before the next night’s show in Seattle, they were looking for help working their merch table, so I responded. Rupa emailed me and asked if I’d do it, so I found myself selling merch during their opening set.

Once they came off stage and Ani went on, the band came over to see how I’d done. Apparently I’d managed to nearly sell almost the entire stock of stuff, and they were so pleased they gave me a signed copy of their entire discography. We then did a couple of shots of something they ordered (I nearly never do shots) to celebrate, and I ended the evening by catching the last 2/3 of Ani’s set for free.

Here’s something a little…different. :headphone:

I’ve noticed a lot of artists recently are just signing inserts for “signed vinyls” as opposed to signing the vinyl which is a tad annoying :sob: I like the actual cover to be signed, and displayed. I’ve got a vinyl stand I swap out the vinyl now and again that’s on display but yeah if its just an insert I’ll buy a regular instead of signed.

Like bookplate edition books & graphic novels?

Sorry I don’t follow :sob:

As in a vinyl record, but instead of signing the cover of the slipcase(?) the vinyl is stored in, signing a little card that comes with it in the post.

Oh yes, so similar to bookplate editions. The product itself isn’t signed just an extra bit of card :frowning:

Sign the damn thing please, like this.

Mai Yamane’s 1980 soundtrack Tasogare. If you’ve ever seen Cowboy Bebop, Yamane is the vocalist on many songs in that show, such as The Real Folk Blues.

And here is another artist I really like from the same era, Minako Yoshida. I really enjoy older Japanese pop/citypop/jazz blends.
