Most Obscure Media you've consumed

I was just reading the Lytton and Devil’s End comics (indie spin-offs from the Fifth and Third Doctor eras, respectively) and was wondering if anyone can beat me with anything even more obscure than those!

Other examples include: Abslom Daak, Kroton the friendly Cyberman and the Paradise Tower anthologies.

I think I’ve begun to lose grasp of what’s truly obscure anymore, but I think for me it’s probably some of the Iris short stories, and I read Marked For Life which was Paul Magrs’ sort of proto-Iris story before she really existed

I’ve read the Omega comics by Cutaway and plan to buy the audio they did

Off the top of my head, probably either The Minister of Chance or The Nest Cottage Chronicles. Maybe The Feast of Stone, or Father Time: “Set Visit”

Same. Technically, Lungbarrow and Interference are obscure, but in this community that feels weird to say

love the nest cottage chronicles. Not nearly weird as their spiritual successor Baker’s end though…

I’ve yet to grasp how the Noodle Man stuff connects to the whoinverse. Is it via Coloth?

Something to do with Chris Cwej crossing over and independent publishing. Pretty funny though

:steaming_bowl:

Edit: though now you mention it I think a cactus dude was in the stories. Haha I love this weird franchise

I think a normal person not on this site would probably find K9 obscure, and Mission: Find Lilith. (At least, I hope that’s obscure…)

Most of the Doctor Who media I’ve read/watched/heard isn’t really that obscure. Maybe that Gallifrey history with the cats, and “Untitled DWM Brief Encounters 3”, or K9’s Finest Hour?

If I’d listened to them yet, the Audio Visuals and Pisces would probably qualify. But, while I have digital copies, I haven’t.

I watched “Lena and Bonnie”, and the segment of the Harry Hill show with the Brig dancing with Badgers.

I suppose for certain people Flux Buddies 3 would be obscure, that’s got Doctor Who elements in

Oh, thinking about it, “Daleks!” should probably be in there, too.

According to this site, the story I’ve completed that has the fewest other readers/watchers/listeners/consumers is Life After Death, the single episode of Lady Aesculapius that’s on this site (despite clearly being labeled as episode 5)

(Apparently, Wild Blue Yonder has the most)

Hmm, probably the most obscure stuff I’ve done is some of the charity anthologies

If we’re going based on how many people have completed it on TARDIS Guide, and not obscurity level to the general public, than the most obscure DW media I’ve consumed is the short story “The Devil in the Smoke.”

Just to mention, of the things I listed that are on the site, checking, the most obscure was “The Legacy of Gallifrey” (the cat one) at 14, closely followed by “Untitled DWM Brief Encounters 3” (which is about Duggan) at 15.

I’d honestly say PROBE, been a huge Who fan since 2005 and yet I only found out about its existence a few months ago and have since watched all the visual content.

Oh, I want to watch PROBE at some point, but I don’t have copies of any of it, and I’m not really buying new stuff for entertainment at the moment.

It’s really quite good, the 90’s stuff anyways. The modern stuff less so. We’ve been doing watch parties on Discord weekly for the past couple of weeks watching in order!

I don’t think I know anymore what’s obscure. I recently listened to The Choice and The Search, audios with K9 and a character played by Lalla Ward who isn’t Romana for legal reasons, those seem pretty obscure to me. But probably it’s more one of the old annuals I tracked down, some of those have nearly no ratings on here
