Most obscure Doctor Who (including EU content) fact(s) you know

She deserves to be! I think Bowerman has already been on the show, just as a different character.

I wonder if she is a distant relative of Benny

Also not lore obscure, but merchandise obscure, way before the Eighth Doctor Adventures novel “The Gallifrey Chronicles” and the Big Finish audio “Omega” in 1991 Virgin Publishing put out a book called The Gallifrey Chronicles that listed and has information on every single named Time Lord that had appeared on the show. And John Peel wrote a short story called The Scrolls of Rassilon about the founding of Time Lord society with Rassilon and Omega which had stuff in that I both really liked and didn’t care for. But it’s basically the Big Finish story “Omega” with some differences of course.

These are pics of my copy I bought last year for pretty cheap and in stellar condition. It’s worth seeking out.

My obscure fact: That story has a fan made audio book you can find on the internet archive, read by R. A. Mitchell

In case anyone’s curious, I’ll spoiler tag it: Its not that Yvonne, its Yvonne from Pete’s World who travelled to our world during the events of Doomsday. She stayed hidden for many years, before heading to Cardiff for S5-7 of TW!

That is one cool cover illustration :star_struck:

There’s quite a few subtle differences between them too which is great. I’d love them to explore just what she got up to in the time she was hidden some day, as its pretty vague.

A favourite fact of mine: 5 different Captain Jack Harknesses exist across WW2, unless I’m missing any more

Torchwood Season One and Two spoilers
  1. The Jack of The Empty Child
  2. The time-displaced Jack of Captain Jack Harkness
  3. The real Jack from Captain Jack Harkness
  4. The Jack who’s a member of Torchwood (Fragments)
  5. The Jack who’s in cryogenic suspension in Torchwood (Exit Wounds)

Not sure if someone have already mentioned this, but here we go: the Doctor doesn’t have a prostate.

What obscure EU media is that from?

It’s from a First Doctor short trip, Bide-a-Wee.

I have actually read that one because it came quite early when I was working through Doctor Who chronologically and still doing the short trips. Long story short: it comes absolutely out of nowhere and I really, really don’t know why the author chose to include it.

A mention of The Eight Doctors in another thread reminded me of a detail from that book where Terrance Dicks, creator of the Great Vampires himself, confirms that the Great Vampires do not actually need to drink blood and eating cheese would have the same effect.

I bought that one last year as well :slightly_smiling_face: Just haven’t gotten around to reading it.

So, I was looking around TARDIS wiki earlier and came across this little factoid. Apparently, Tom Baker is the first person to ever get two different wax figures at Madame Tussaud’s because, for some god forsaken reason, they and both a figure of Four and… Meglos. Couldn’t tell you what possessed them to do this but oh well.

Technically, it’s not specifically Doctor Who, but I feel like this fits the spirit of the thread. I’ve been listening to the Star Wars novel Shadow of the Sith. I was curious about a character and was thus scrolling through the “appearances” list on the novel’s wiki page and discovered the existence of a Sith character.
