Apparently one of my favorite Big Finish Ranges doesn’t have its own Thread, time to change it! Feel free to discuss any of the Stories listed here:
How do you feel about the Mix between Narration and Full Cast, that those have been going for? What are your favorites? Which one surprised you the most?
Personally I adore them, but then again I really love the 60s Era of the Show, so is it really a Surprise? Probably not!
Listened to ‘The Age of Endurance’ and woah.. that was dull 
I love the Early Adventures, but this one just didn’t catch my interest or my attention at all. While the Performances are solid, especially Russell & Ann Ford, but I just can’t seem to get myself engaged in the Side Character Casts which are rather forgettable. Also, I am a bit shocked how this Story shoves Barbara so far away despite having her Bradley-era recast in this one, so what an odd choice.
What a disappointment really.

I didn’t either, but apparently she did in that Audio and ‘The Fifth Traveler’, another one I haven’t done yet, feels weird having her with Ann Ford and Russell honestly!
I’ve heard the free trial of Daughter of The Gods and really liked it.
I recommend that story highly if you are a fan of DMP!
Forgot to mention, but I listened to ’ The Dalek Occupation of Winter’ & ‘Entanglement’ this week! The former is an incredible Dalek Tale. Why hasn’t David K. Barnes not written a 1DA yet??? Loved that. The latter isn’t as strong, but I enjoyed myself well enough with it, even if the Conclusion didn’t quite please me. Nice to see a Character from the EDA ‘Endgame’ appear there apparently what a nice thing, which I only found out by the Character List (not a Spoiler if anybody is worried!)
The Doctor’s Tale is sadly a rare miss for a Pure Historical, maybe it’s just not the Period of History that appeals to me as much, maybe it was slightly the Music, which I didn’t really get on with. I don’t think it’s a bad one, but it does fall a bit on the generic side to me (and while it has its Story reasons and makes sense, I must say hearing ‘I wanna see my husband’ get shouted over & over got on my nerves pretty quickly). That all said, the Acting here is pretty solid, especially from the Guest Cast
Just plugged the last three gaps in my Early Adventures collection via the Troughton sale which ends tonight so I think a concerted effort to finish listening to this brilliant range (with some relistens for those I’ve already done) might be my next project.
Just randomly listened to The Black Hole, and I’m glad I did. It was an excellent adventure, very descriptive and had a really good grasp on The Monk as an antagonist and his abilities to manipulate The Doctor. 9/10
