Lungbarrow (1989) – Scene Breakdown?

Hi folks.

A little while ago I spotted an eBay listing claiming to be the original scene breakdown of Lungbarrow, written by Marc Platt before the decision was taken to retool it into Ghost Light. Seller was having a laugh though; £25 per page, 5 pages per episode, 3 episodes. I don’t care if it was carved out of gold, £375 is ridiculous. (Particularly since it appeared to be a photocopy anyway, not an original.)

But, given this was in the wild… and it looked genuine enough… Certainly when I asked Richard Bignell about it on Twitter (now Xhitter) he thought it was real… I now wonder… Does anyone actually know of a copy of the original scene breakdown, anywhere? Presumably someone must have it.

I’d be rather fascinated to read such a document.

Well, someone surely has it; the question is, who.

I don’t know anything about this, but I also find that a pretty steep price for photocopies, real or not.

I do wonder if Marc Platt or Andrew Cartmel might have a copy lying around somewhere.

I expect if the BBC had a copy it would’ve been on the Season 26 PDF extras – but then again, the rehearsal script for Trial of a Time Lord Part 1 included on the Season 23 Collection PDFs is missing the first four pages or so… But an extract from the (missing) first page is read out during one of the extras, so… Who knows. Sometimes BBC archiving just doesn’t make any sense.
