‘Season 2.5’ of Torchwood refers to all stories that take place between the end of the Season 2 Finale Exit Wounds, and the Season 3 Premiere Day One. After the deaths of Owen and Tosh, these stories feature the Torchwood Team of Jack, Gwen, and Ianto.

Perhaps surprisingly, by the way I split them[1], Season 2.5 is the era of Torchwood that has the most separate stories, primarily thanks to Torchwood Magazine.

Prefer this era to season 2 and season 3 tbh

Idk, it just has a certain feel to it.

I really like a lot of these stories, which is no surprise. I wish we could have had a full series in this era on TV.

No offense to Tosh and Owen either but with a shorter cast, it lets the characters have more room to breathe.

And is why Andy and Rhys had so much development to propel their characters too.

Plus the shift towards a more depressing, bleak outlook, bridges the transition to COE perfectly..
