Looking for reccomendations for an audio continuity

I’m working my way through the initial 50 main range as I have access to those for free, and was wondering where else I should go afterwards, I wanted something in the 6-8th Doctor range as I am very curious about what the audios do with their characters. Does anyone recommend a specific series of stories I can follow to get an overarching narrative, maybe following a particular companion?

I’d suggest checking out this thread: The Main Range: What’s Essential?

I just finished doing all of Peri’s Main Range stuff and really liked a lot of it. I’m now obsessed with Peri and Erimem so their stories would be my first recommendation, but since you said 6-8, I’d say most of 6 and Peri’s are quite good and I’d particularly recommend Plight of the Pimpernel, The Reaping, and the loose trilogy of The Widow’s Assassin/The Masters of Earth/The Rani Elite.

(Other people will definitely have more informed suggestions than this but it is my duty as a Peri stan to recommend Peri’s stories)

The site is great for looking into this with lots of filters to narrow down your search.

This is a list of Main Range audios from 50-100 for the 6th Doctor.

Then you could filter it for a specific companion such as Evelyn.

Depending on whether you want ratings or not you can set it to show those (or not) and also read any non-spoilery reviews if you’re so inclined.

Generally I think you can follow any companion or any Doctor and work through the MR that way. There are some elements that crossover but by and large if you just pick a character you can follow through all their stories in order.

If you like Six, I can recommend looking at Flip’s stories, she’s a lot of fun!

There are also Sets you can track of just the Main Range for a certain Doctor, e.g. this is the one for Sixie:

But maybe Rat was thinking of other box sets featuring them? The question was a little ambiguous.

If you like the Dalek stuff that appears in the first 50 I’d suggest Dalek Empire.

The initial pieces are kinda set out in the first 50, but aren’t necessary.

If you want a change of pace/characters, early sets are the Sarah Jane Smith series.

Also, you can try early Bernice Summerfield. Series 1 or 2 are both good jumping on points. (Personally, I’d say 2 and go back to 1 for completionist sake.

As you stated, if you want to stick to the Doctors featured you can always just jump into their “Main Ranges”, or for 8 you can start the Lucie Miller series, The Eighth Doctor Adventures.

Hope this gives you some direction.
