We know that the Collection special trailers stopped because they became too expensive.
We also know that Season 25 didn’t have one made for it.
The economy will be the reason they became too expensive.
Labour will most likely fix the economy in the next five years assuming they get in tonight.
So do we think of Keir Starmer Becomes Prime Minister, the boost to the economy will have a positive knock-on effect on those behind the Collection box sets, and allow them to shoot minisode trailers again?

That’s a shame. I really enjoyed them. The Leila/Time War one was excellent.
As for speculation of the election; no comment.

Your first problem is thinking that Labour is going to do anything worthwhile

I imagine this post is a joke but it’s not that they’re not doing them outright anymore. There will doubtlessly be more. I imagine the reason for a lack of one on this occasion was because of the budget required for the special editions and the novelty of 7 and Ace returning isn’t quite the same after Ace Returns/24 Carat/Power of the Doctor/Tales of the TARDIS. As much as you can never have too much of a good thing, in this instance you’d be doing it for the sake of doing it.

Honestly, though, I could watch Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred reprise their roles all day.

Seriously. I’d be totally open to just having a few new seasons of 7 and Ace on Doctor Who. No regeneration needed; just have it be them sometime between Survival and the movie…

Pete McTighe has said that the Leela one was the last one (not to say they definitely won’t reappear, but Season 25 isn’t going to be an exception).

Of course my memory could be just as fallable but I don’t recall “last” ever being how it was described. We were definitely told not to expect them in the way they’ve previously been a constant, but any at all wasn’t ruled out (again, as I recall). I think they’ll be far and few between due to budget issues and just a lack of surviving cast for most seasons left, but I can realistically see a couple more happening, namely season 6 and season 21.

I would welcome that and it could be called “Welcome to Level 7 “ where Coulson plays the Unit 2nd in command.
Or something

You are quite right - apologies. It was me misremembering. I went searching for the quote and this is what McTighe said:

Imagine that with a Disney budget. It would be epic.
