All those aliens and the nuclear radiation really take it out of you :smiling_face_with_tear: I obviously love this series a lot, but even if it’s not so much your thing it would still be interesting to see your thoughts on it!

I know ‘general consensus’ is that the ‘New CM’ wasn’t as good as the ‘classic’ but I don’t have a history of agreeing with the consensus. :slight_smile:

Oh I still enjoyed it, its Counter-Measures! Just not as good as the previous series.

I like the idea of doing for Counter-Measures what tv did with the 60s The Avengers show - The New Avengers.

New CM has some real banger episodes - Troubled Waters as I say is a right corker, but I think the weaker episodes overall are a little weaker than the original run. And the less said about Movellan Manouevre/Dalek Gambit thr better :confused:

Hadn’t met the CM crew until listening to legacy of time this week. Thought the story with them was really great. Feels like UNIT without the manpower or Torchwood without the sleaze.

I can also see the post office (now BT) tower from my bedroom window which enhanced how much I enjoyed the story.

Going to listen to The Hollow King to bed tonight. Should come as no surprise that an Allison heavy episode is one of my favourites :squinting_face_with_tongue: but it also has Rachel being very Barbara-core and ramming a big truck through a wall :heart_eyes:
