Timed PERFECTLY for comics finally being added to the site, Humble Bundle have a massive bundle of 61 digital comics which seems to include everything Titan plus the earlier IDW stuff. Missy and the Fugitive Doctor are in there too.

I have some of these but it’s only £20 for everything which will mean I plug any gaps for pittance!

What’s great about Humble Bundle is that part of your money can be donated to charity.

And to add, the charity is Children in Need which obviouly has a close relationship with Doctor Who.

If you scroll down on the pay page, you can click on ‘custom donation’ and adjust it to give more to the charity and less to Titan.

Worked out I don’t have 20 of these which, having paid just under £20 means I’ve got each of those comics for a £1 and not had to pay anything for all the duplicates I did already have from previous bundles. Awesome.

It’s a bundle of pdf/cbz files, so anything that reads either format.

Edit: Just to note, some of the cbz files are much smaller than the pdfs. Like 1 GB vs 72.5 MB…
Edit:Edit: A few of them are larger, too. The cbz’s are generally smaller, though, I think.

.cbz’s are just zip files with images in.

EDIT. For pc I use “cdisplayex”, for mac “simple comic” for iOS “chunky” (I don’t know if that is available any more)

Yeah. Not sure if they just didn’t do a good job on compressing the images on the pdfs or what…

I did use CDisplayEx on the last one, but I just happened to be by a Windows computer at the time. Since I’m by a linux computer right now, just going to try out qcomicbook for the moment, and maybe a few others and see what sticks. In a pinch, Calibre’s viewer will read them, IIRC…

Yeah, I knew I had a fair number of these, but I also don’t have a fair number of them, so decided to pick it up.

I use YACReader. Free and has a library manager that works really well for me

I’ll check that one out. qcomicreader seems fine, but it also hasn’t been updated in years, whereas yacreader’s been updated in the last few months…

Hmm. I was copying all these into my comic folder and created a multi-doctor folder, along with individual folders for each doctor as I needed them. Plus a folder for missy.

After sorting them, I seem to have 3,4,7,8,9,10,11,12,13, & 15. Can’t help but notice some gaps there. (though I wouldn’t be surprised if I sorted 14 into 10’s folder).

Edit: I’m also noticing that copies of the same comic from different bundles have different sizes and image quality…
One thing I am doing is just opening both copies, looking at the text bubbles, and if I see jpeg compression in one, keeping the other.
