Yeah, every time I go and look at what I haven’t watched, I’m always reminded that I haven’t watched Tales of the TARDIS. I’m also repeatedly told that I need to watch both the animations and the recons for everything…
Yes…yes you do.
You mean like the grid and list view of stories? That’s a good idea
Absolutely. I’d use that A LOT.
Yes! That’s the curse and the blessing of a Doctor Who fan! You have to experience everything and every version of everything (such as the bazillion versions of Shada), because otherwise you don’t know which version of a story is the best one!

This is a job for the “Skip Story” feature, which is patrons-only at the moment.
I do feel bad for restricting features to only patrons but then I do need to try and get some money to pay for running the site! And it’s only £1 a month
But then I wonder if anyone actually pays for the features or if they pay because they are able to and they want to support the site.
It’s a difficult choice… ideally everything locked behind the paywall would be cosmetic (except the “My Stories” filters which are resource intensive so I need to restrict those otherwise I couldn’t have it available)
But this is another topic really.
Much as I’d like to support the site, can’t justify spending money on anything optional at the moment.
I could tell the site I’ve watched things I haven’t, and assign them arbitrary ratings, though… (Say, anything not available in my country is an automatic 0.5.)
Don’t do that, it would mess with the stats! I’m thinking about making Skip Stories available to all soon…
Well, I don’t think there’s a way to unrate an episode, so…
What you should do is make it so that an episode only shows up once in the list, then when you click on it, all the variations on it show up on the episode page.
There is! Maybe it’s not that obvious but if you deselect “completed” then it wipes your rating, and you can select “completed” again (or skip, when that’s available).
I’ve been thinking how to do this but also make it appear in targeted filters and searches, it’s a bit difficult.
Yeah, it’s not obvious that whether it’s completed would have anything to do with the rating. What I’d expect to unrate it is clicking on the same rating you already gave it.
I know it’s going to be difficult to implement, but I really shouldn’t have the recon, the animated version of the recon, and the special edition of the animated version of the recon all showing up as separate entries…
It could have been more satisfying if this was posted in Character Tracker Discussion instead…

Cool achievement by the way!
