Hoot Hoot! An Introduction

I used to be a lot more cynical. Ironically, the only reason I toned things down was because TS emailed me saying an English teacher complained about me not being positive enough in my reviews (I wish that was a joke).

You should see some of the reviews we’ve had already, eg. one for The Star Beast that almost made me reconsider the whole thing it was so negative.

But I’m letting it stay there (minus the profanity. I added a filter) because as long as they aren’t attacking anyone it’s fine.

Oh another idea maybe the option to filter out certain reviewers you’re not interested in seeing? Is that something people might want?

That could be a good feature, yeah.

That actually brings up a good question. Profanity in reviews - yes or no?

I don’t include it myself (haven’t done for years) but just wanted to clear that one up for future reference.

I’ll admit, some of my reviews can be quite cynical and negative, but that’s directed to the story itself, not the writer or the actors.

I think the harshest I’ve been when reviewing a story - in recent memory - is probably ‘Heroes of Sontar’, which I described as congealed failure.

It was a comedy story that made the cardinal sin of any comedy story - not being funny in any form.
