Hiya guys!

Hi there, I’m @Tenebrous3 ! I’m more of a lurker than a poster, though sometimes something will grab my attention enough for me to emerge from my slumber and put my two cents in. I’ve been watching Who since I was around 10 years old and as of yet I have still haven’t managed to break free. I’ve seen the vast majority of the show, though I’m still making my way through classic who (currently on season 16), watched all of Torchwood (and even enjoyed some of it!), and listened to quite a few audiodramas (War Master my beloved). My favourite Doctors are 7 (watched his era out of order), 8 and 9 (I may be a bit indecisive :skull:). Anyway, excited to meet you guys! Happy to be hanging out here, this site kinda rocks (huge upgrade from the cough cough other popular Doctor Who rating website)

Hello there and welcome to the community! You’ve already jumped straight into our conversations, so you’re probably going to settle down just fine!

If 7 is your fave, is Ace your number one companion? Or are you a Charley person?

Who’s your favorite companion? Welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoy your stay here

Oh, I haven’t listened to any of the Main Range stuff, I thought I’d appreciate more with the context of the whole classic show, so no Charley for me yet. I do like Ace a lot, though I don’t know if she’d be my fave, there are so many cool companions to choose from! Jamie, Lucie, Donna, Bill. It’s like asking a parent which child is their favourite

The Green Death is so good, and Jo is a great companion too…

Welcome to the forum! 7, 8, and 9 are all fine picks for favorite eras. If you like 7, I think the Ace and Hex audios (they start with The Harvest) are a great place to start with the Main Range. Particularly given how much you like Ace. :)

Thank you for the advice! I definitely have the Hex stories on my radar; I typically enjoy the darker stuff more and I’ve heard that those deliver in that department, and as you say I like 7 and Ace a lot, so I will definitely give them a listen at some point!

Welcome to the forum, I hope you have a lovely time here!

As a 7 and 8 fan you’ve got some incredible stuff coming up in the Hex and Charley runs when you get to those, there are multiple all-time great stories in each of them. What are your favourite 7, 8 and 9 stories you’ve done up until now?

Thank you! Yeah, I’ve heard great things about the main range stuff, really excited to get into that once I finish watching the classics.

My favorite 7 stories so far would probably be The Curse of Fenric, Remembrance of the Daleks and The Greatest show in the Galaxy, though I like the whole 26th season a lot (probably one of the strongest in the shows history, tbh).

When it comes to 8, I actually haven’t heard too much of his stuff yet! I just instantly fell in love with his Doctor from the moment I saw him in The Night of the Doctor. It feels like Paul McGann was born for this role. My favourites so far are Blood of the Daleks, Human Resources, Immortal Beloved (very underrated!) and Grand Theft Cosmos.

As for 9, I used to have Dalek at the #1 spot as my favourite Who story of all time, so it’s an easy pick. I also love The Empty Child, The Parting of the Ways, and I’ve always had a soft spot for Boom Town (wish there were more stories like it).
