Hi I’m newt5996 or Jacob and I adore specifically the Doctor Who books which I started going through nearly a decade ago and am hoping to finish the EDAs/PDAs soon.
Welcome to the forum!!
Welcome! I hope you have fun here!
Lovely! We have an EDA Thread ( An Eighth Doctor Adventures adventure ) and one for the PDAs ( BBC Past Doctor Adventures - A Discussion ), so if you ever wish to discuss any of them that you are reading or have been reading feel free to pop in there!
Either way, I hope you have a good time here!
We’re also going through the VNAs and NSAs in the Books > Book Club.

Any favourite Doctors?
Seven, what McCoy does with the role and where Cartmel was going is the most interesting the show has been and then the VNAs come along and become the best Doctor Who has ever been.

Hello and welcome to the forum! ![]()
Welcome Jacob! I’ve only done some of the EDA and PDA books. They kind of got away from me. I take my hat off to you.
Welcome to the forum! We love the books here - any particular favourites?
Oh that’s a long list of just book favorites. My favorite Doctor Who story in any medium is Lungbarrow, it’s the perfect ending to the VNAs and one of 2 perfect endings to 7, plus The Dying Days as this really nice epilogue. I’ll also shout out The Also People by Ben Aaronovitch as such a nice non traditional story.
For the BBC Books, anything by Lawrence Miles is likely among my favorites, same with Paul Magrs. Lance Parkin’s Father Time also nearly had me in tears. The Witch Hunters is a perfect pure historical too.
