Fun fact - one of these stories is one of only 4 stories to get a perfect average 5/5 score on the site. Unfortunately it’s only got 6 ratings, which might be why it’s so skewed, and I’d like to fix that!

I made it a good half way through this book earlier this year before being side tracked so this is good motivation to get back to it, though I am busy with two other short story collections and life in general, I am really tempted by that badge so will get back to this!
It is a bit sad that they did not create new covers in the same style for the stories that did not originate from the Doctor Who Files. Those covers are in a fantastic early 2000 style!
They do feature Eleven and Twelve though so wouldn’t have really fitted.
Also note that the order of the stories in the Set is different to in the book, purely because they re-ordered them and mine is always in release order. Bit annoying but not much I can do about it.
I know but I think that they could have done it anyway. It would look good!
Finished the first story: The Stranger. I thought that it was good. I don’t find the time war that interesting but this was a nice story with the War Doctor being the Doctor even if he doesn’t see himself as it. I rated 3.5/5
I love this idea and it is fun to have a new project to aim for.
Feels like a “playlist” function would be good to add to the site in the future where stories could be arranged in other orders. Would be great for TLV as well.
I find it funny how this is @shauny’s thread and he begins it by saying he’s going to read all these stories, only for @Tian to hijack it in his usual manner and get started on it before Shauny! And he’ll probably finish it all before Shauny’s even started

I probably will start later today I just feel bad if I spend any time that could be spent working on the site doing anything else… but have to wait in the waiting room later for my mother in law to go to the dentist so I’ll read the first story then!

That is not a great mindset to have. That is how you will burn yourself out. It is okay to take time off. We want you for a long time not just for now. You take care of yourself first. The site will never be more important than that. We can wait!
