…and if there’s one thing I can do, it’s talk. I am from England, and am actually younger than the entire First Series of New Who. (I was born the same day that Army of Ghosts released!)
My first ever episode of Doctor Who was The Woman Who Fell to Earth (I know, I joined at a bit of a low point), and I started watching New Who from the beginning during the airing of Season One (2024). Currently trying to make my way through Classic Who now that I’m done with New Who (currently on The Moonbase with the Second Doctor).
I’ve got every episode of New Who on DVD, I’ve got books and Big Finish audio dramas; basically, I like to make this show my entire personality. I do the daily Whodle every day (and get it right about 95% of the time).
My favourite Doctor is either Eighth or Eleventh.
I found this website from a Doctor Who meme page on Instagram of all places (hello, doctorwhoirony).
My favourite Doctor Who related thing was watching Empire of Death at the cinema last summer (it was fun to see so many Whovians in the same room).
Can’t wait to use this website obsessively for the foreseeable future!
Also, The Moonbase is just chef’s kiss. Honestly, I believe the Cybermen during the Troughton era are the best TV has ever done them (and before someone says World Enough of Time, I have not seen that yet)
I cannot get enough of Doctor Number Eight either. Paul McGann plays him so well, and he’s surrounded by such good travelling companions, he’s a joy to listen to, even after all this time.
Welcome to the forum, the nicest Who-related place on the internet in my opinion!
Good choice! 8 is good, and any 8 Fan gets an extra warm welcome from me!
Very nice that you are making your way through Classic, how are you feeling about it so far? And what’s your Opinion on 1? (Don’t say something wrong ):<)
Anyway, looking forward to seeing you in the Forum more often, if you decide to be active!
I must admit it took a while to settle in to it (the much slower pace and all), but I am enjoying it! I really like the First Doctor; I was one of those people that thought he was just a old man type, but after watching all his episodes, I realise that he is quite mischievous and silly at times.
Yeah, it can be hard to settle into it for sure, I remember when I first watch Season 24 as my first Who Season it was a bit rough to get through the Pace at the Time at least.
And glad to hear! Yes, he is for sure very silly indeed!
Welcome to TG, the best corner of the Internet to spend all your spare time on! (Pats the sofa and put on Scherzo, just to prepare you for the next audio club…)
How very dare you
That’s no way to speak about one of the very best new Doctor intro stories…
I quite like the Thirteenth Doctor’s era if you didn’t guess
