I have no idea what MrsColdStream is like irl, but I’ve seen you mention her a few times and I’m starting to imagine her like Maris from Frasier - always just out of view for some outlandish reason

@DoctorDisco I have a Nintendo Switch OLED. I play a lot of everything, but right now I’m playing A JRPG called .Hack//GU: Last Recode. I play RPG’s like Final Fantasy, Xenoblade( I love Xenoblade and Jenna Coleman voice acts in them.) and Dragon Quest, fighting games like Street Fighter, Horror like Resident Evil, action games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, first person shooters like Borderlands, I also like Metal Gear Solid, Mega Man, Castlevania, Dark Souls, and of course Nintendo games especially Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. Etc.

Wow, that’s a lot of games! I’ve played at least one or two entries from a couple of these series (off the top of my head, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear, Resident Evil, and back when I owned a Nintendo console, Mario and Zelda). I only own a PS5 these days, but Final Fantasy is one of the few game series I still keep up with, and I particularly loved Final Fantasy VII Rebirth last year. If you’re planning on buying a Switch 2, I would definitely recommend picking up Final Fantasy VII Remake when it releases.
My younger brother is a massive Nintendo fan, so I’ve played a lot of Smash Bros and Mario Kart with him over the years - I’m sure we’ll end up playing the new Mario Kart when he picks up a Switch 2 and I can go and visit him.

Yeah it is a lot. I’ve been gaming since I was 4 with the original Nintendo console.
I’ve haven’t been able to preorder one, but I’m definitely picking up a Switch 2 as soon as I’m able to. Especially once the demand dies down and I can get one without fighting someone off for it. The pre orders went too fast. 
I love Final Fantasy and I’m excited to play Remake. They said all of the remake series will be coming to Switch 2 so I’m excited for that!
I want the Switch 2 for other games as well. Bravely Default being remastered is exciting. It was a 3DS game that was made by the FF team. It’s turn based, has the crystals, warriors of light, job system with FF jobs, and a great storyline.
My husband and I play Mario Kart. Although, we will be getting a PS5 soon. He is excited for GTA6 and there are some games on my on PS5 that I want to play.

That’s impressive - my first console was the original Playstation back when I was 4, and I’ve had a mixture of Playstation and Nintendo consoles since then. I’m not super fond of Nintendo’s current output, but I’m open to being enticed back some day. I used to play a lot of video games, but between having a hectic job and wanting to have more time for other things, I make an active effort to play fewer games nowadays.
I have heard of Bravely Default, but I’ve not played it - I don’t remember being super keen on the artstyle, personally. I’ve been very slowly working my way through the (single-player) mainline Final Fantasy games since I got into the series a decade ago (only three left now - III, IV and XIII), and Remake and Rebirth are probably both in the running for my own favourite game of all time. I tend not to play many other JRPGs, but the big exception is the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series, which is another one I still keep up with. If you’re planning on getting a PS5, I would definitely recommend those as well. Otherwise, I just tend to play things which review well these days - Baldur’s Gate III and Alan Wake II are two recent (is 2023 recent 
) games I really enjoyed. The only game I’m planning to buy for the rest of this year for the moment is Death Stranding 2.
Hopefully you and your husband can pick up a Switch 2 before long 
Apparently they delayed the launch to ensure they have enough stock, so you might get one sooner than you think!
