Wait, there’s an AI? And it flags things? Does it have an issue with people watching The Sontaran Experiment? Or with people vaguely resembling Christopher Eccleston?
Only both things combined…
That’d be @handles, who we have posting the Whodle threads these days.
Handles mostly has issues with thinking pictures of Karkus are NSFW…
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @handles display help
.
Thank you! I’m certainly getting that feelng so far. Much more positive here than on other forums.
Hey, welcome to the forums!!
So this means that if Christopher Eccleston has ever watched The Sontaran Experiment, handles won’t let him join the forum???
@handles what is your problem with the Karkus? Would you care to elaborate?
As I understand it, the Karkus is the one who forced Christopher Eccleston to watch The Sontaran Experiment, with the express intent of getting him banned from this very forum.
Go ahead, try to prove that didn’t happen!
That’s the most succinct disproval of one of my wild claims I’ve ever seen!
Well done Billfiler!
Welcome! Another neuro-atypical fan here, who also thinks that if you enjoy an unloved episode, or learn to appreciate an episode you previously didn’t, then you have won. And you can win even more by sharing this feeling! I started with either The Abominable Snowmen or The Ice Warriors (I’ve only partial memories and without seeing the former recovered I can’t be sure if I’m just remembering yeti stuff from Web), but I too enjoy the whole show. Every Doctor with a complete season/series has at least one story in my top 30, and most have one in my bottom 30 as well.
Thank you. I’ll have a good look around.
Delighted to meet you. The mindset on here seems far more to my liking. I get a genuine sense of welcome joy. I love to critique, but cannot abide rampant negativity. So looking forward to sharing my thoughts with you all and learning from you all as well. Together, we can all get more from this wonderful show. So many facets!
I love “The Abominable Snowmen” and “The Ice Warriors”. So much to enjoy in both those stories. With “The Abominable Snowmen”, it’s strange to think this this was a rare trip back in time for Troughton. I know both stories are vritiqued for their pacing (among other things), as indeed are many from the Pertwee era. Never really been bothered by this myself. I think it’s about getting into the fliw of a series told in 25 minute segments over multiple weeks. A different model worked back then.
